我还在想。。多几年我很可能记不起来我这几年来发生的事，20年在马来西亚的生活，接着20年在新加坡的生活，改变可以很多，但可别忘了一路怎样走来的。。。再来的20年，希望人会在澳洲，过着退休生活，环游世界每个地方。

2012年7月31日，CONVOCATION。最终以2nd Upper Class Honour 毕业。

2012年7月2日，正式加入Keppel Corporation, Keppel Offshore and Marine 的船厂，Keppel Singmarine。为期两年的训练和工作。

很庆幸，本人成绩并不好，没有所谓的1st CLASS DEGREE HONOUR。上帝眷恋，还是让我达成24岁前的梦。成为一名工程师。

但。。不要输掉自己。存钱。。再投资，才是现代人应该要有的计划。。

帮完milo pooh add完她下学期的module，我立刻松了口气，为什么会觉得压力呢？很奇怪，毕竟是在帮她add course而已，我老是怕帮不了她这一个大忙，很怕我会miss掉她要add的课，还好她要的，我都办得了，只有一个，哈哈，太逊掉了啦。

FYP还是继续。。我没有停下脚步。赶紧地追。
我还在摸索，台湾的资料，真的是很想移民到台湾，或是当个台湾人。台湾很民主，我很喜欢。

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) is on course to deliver ENSCO 8505, the sixth of seven ENSCO 8500 Series® ultra-deepwater semisubmersible (semi) drilling rigs to Ensco (NYSE: ESV) safely, on time and within budget.

The rig is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012 with zero lost-time incidents in over five million man-hours worked. Upon completion, ENSCO 8505 is contracted in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico with Anadarko, Apache and Noble Energy.

With Singapore's Minister of State for Transport and Finance, Mrs Josephine Teo, as the guest-of-honour, the rig was named ENSCO 8505 at Keppel FELS today.

Mrs Teo said, "In addition to the ability to offer customised solutions, our shipyards have long established a strong reputation for quality and timeliness. Keppel FELS' achievement today has done Singapore proud and bears testament to their capabilities and reputation as a leader in their field."

Designed to address some of the most demanding offshore drilling requirements at water depths up to 8,500 feet, ENSCO 8505 features a two million pound quad derrick, offline pipe handling capability, 35,000 feet drilling capacity and 8,000 tonnes of variable deck load.

The fifth in the Series, ENSCO 8504, was delivered by Keppel FELS to Ensco in August this year and has commenced drilling for Total in Brunei.

Mr Daniel W. Rabun, Ensco's Chairman, President & CEO, said, "Our ENSCO 8500 Series® rigs have proven to be a success wherever they operate including Asia, South America and North America. We are confident ENSCO 8505 will perform well and help us maintain our ranking as number one in customer service in the offshore drilling sector.

"Keppel FELS has been a reliable partner achieving an impressive safety record during construction while providing cost-efficient, purpose built vessels on time. This enables us to perform at the highest level for our customers."

Ensco currently has four additional rigs under construction at Keppel FELS. This includes ENSCO 8506, the final ultra-deepwater semisubmersible in the Series with delivery expected in 2012, and three KFELS Super A Class jackup rigs with deliveries scheduled in 2013 and 2014. The first jackup to be delivered, ENSCO 120, is already contracted for work in the Central North Sea.

The three jackup rigs under construction, ENSCO 120, ENSCO 121 and ENSCO 122 provide increased drilling efficiencies for multi-well platform programs, ultra-deep gas drilling, and ultra-long reach wells of up to 40,000 feet drilling depth.

Mr Tong Chong Heong, CEO of Keppel Offshore & Marine, added, "Ensco has been a long-term customer and we are proud that they have entrusted us with 19 major newbuild projects worth nearly US$4.8 billion in total. ENSCO 8505 is the 15th rig that we will be delivering with our hallmark of quality and timeliness. 第十八章。迟来的FYP。我尽力了。

A day with disappointment.
Again and again, as usual, I am doing for project almost everyday, yea it is.
I repeat the same step, doing the same setup, and doing the same failure.
Prof. Lua visited fluids lab yesterday, it was a sudden spot check.
To see my progress, I have nothing to show him, ended up talking a lot of my research mechanism setup. I know I will kena shoot one day, see my work so far, nothing can comment.

Trying a second attempt to test .. the stupid permeability test, O-ring is old, I insist to use it, degassing process for one day, I am satisfied with it, using my 3-OCT-membrane, too many samples I have made, I just note down the date I produce it, yea, It was October month, with 15 bilayers of combination solution, PEE and CMC polymeric solution with 40ml water as solvent.

Open the valve, with 0.763 Torr, it still failed, last time was using 2.100 Torr, triple fold, result is poor, I insist of using the same method, I guess I should have modified it, I tried my best, it failed again, really want to give up.

I have 13 samples, 13 alumina membrane in my pill boxes, I dare to say, I have 13 chances to die, I know none of them can pass the gas permeability test, It is too hard to go thru the pores with Helium gas, FML.

Alright, month of December, I choose not to go back for holiday, I am doing research everyday, even SAT and SUN, I pay extra work and effort, I don't care, I just want to get one good result, submit the GD report then waiting for my graduation.

It is so ridiculous, whole lab only left with 2 FYP students, where are the rest, only 10% of final year student remains in NTU during this one-month vacation, really slack lo. Can't imagine how it goes if it happens to me, I can just simply fail like this, no way la ... Prof Lua won't let me go like that.

第十七章。第二次回到 Keppel Shipyard 船厂

美好的一天。
想不到还有第二次。
再一次，游到了这么大的船厂。

该做好的，今天settle了。
两年的时间，26岁的那一年。
很期待，明年的新生活，不再是读书的生活，不再是书虫，也没有大学生涯，至少不会是poor student。
很多东西都安排好，上天的安排，我的祈求，都回应了。
非常感谢我的表哥，朝伟，还有我的叔叔。
得人恩果，千年都要记得。他们会是我毕生的恩人，因为有他们，我很肯定自己的未来。我的事业，我的目标。

就是不断朝向自己决定好的目标，觉得人生很美好。人就是要享受人生，就算不好，也要去享受过程，它会让你成长。
学业我有了，事业我也有了，也决定好了，几年里都不会有差别。
生活呢？

我会有一个怎样的生活呢？

Christmas is coming, marks the end of year 2011.
Just knew from a clip, next year is dragon year, will it be a good year for dragon boyz and dragon ladies ? Haha, from the fortune teller, it is definitely NOT.
Although I do not believe, I understand life is not easy. Even if you're not born in year of Dragon, you'll still have some challenging [obstacles] waiting you there to cross over.

Life is not easy, it can be wonderful if you're able to solve it. Not everyone is problem solver, and you will never get a solution for certain issues or problems.
Dragon year is the worst year ever I have known for next coming 2012.
FML, I just wonder how the fortune teller going to answer with the dragon-ians peeps with such bad things he mentioned in the clip.
This is ridiculous and extremely terrible.

And I was thinking,
what is the worse case scenario?
I can't graduate ?
I can't pass my FYP ?
I can't secure my job ?
end up I am jobless.

Too many possibilities, but never let all these happen.
The match is still under my control.
Triple efforts I am putting in,
100% concentration on my workouts,
I will never lose it.

Please .. to all fortune teller, 2012 is a good year, to everyone of us, your words will just let all the uncles and aunties out there worry about .. with nothing to worry actually. Those doing business will not further climb to the top and try to invest or increase their productivity..jialat after seeing your video.

Last month of 2011. People prepare for year end. Corporate company, S&M company, and those who are running business, it is time to sit back and relax for coming festival, planning for a good year ahead, of course to feedback what are the root causes of the failures they had, to have better performance next year. and not to forget about bonus, people are happy to get bonus, this is true after working for a year, everything is worth still.

Just knew Kajang was flooded, seriously when I saw the news video, I was stunt.
This is a terrible flash flood ever, God bless with everything comes to end, make this festival month a good month for them, gosh ... Singapore is raining almost everyday .. will it be flooded ?

第十六章。第一次到Shipyard。

考完了该死的Fluids Dyanmics，心情好许多。好像考完了。
拜五还有一个marine，该走的，还是走，考完试的，一个接一个，陆陆续续地balik kampong。

下午。天要黑了。
感觉不一样。
车子还未靠近shipyard，远远地我看见了那一艘Oil tanker，真的很吓人。算是第一次来到keppel的船厂，人很多，不同颜色的制服很抢眼，[红]，[白]，[蓝]，[褐色]，没错的话，应该是分别为：safety，engineer，technician ，contractor 。。。还是contractors比较多啦，多半是外劳，每个人都很忙，safety pondok最忙，还要分两个不同[IN]和[OUT]的office，很强，要进去也不容易，首先，先到HSE INFORMATION CENTRE 填写两个表格，一个是logbook，另一个是HSE induction for delivery drivers and visitors。次序很重要，填了过后，就要到pondok去换同行证，拿出我的SG Driving license，show了一下，给了他，然后就进去office。

第一次见到直通yard的路，路很大，很长，前面还有一艘tug boat。很可爱下。穿着蓝衣的technicians正在指挥一班contractors，督促他们要干嘛的。


这是我第一次到shipyard。

My last day of exam.
MP4J01 Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
it is a closed book examination and one A4-sided cheat sheet is allowed in the exam hall. This paper is not easy. Luckily I have a cheat sheet to bring, trying hard to get all the shits written in the paper. It takes me some times to amend as well. Gosh, I really do not know what's the shit I will write out with this cheat sheet. I hope exam questions do not screw me up seriously.

Everyone declares their one-month holiday .. yea most of them, finished papers yesterday. Only left me, and few others [ke lian worm] still need to mug, while looking at people pulling the luggage to home. OK la, this is not the first time to sit for exam even at the last day of examination in NTU. I still have one last experience soon in next semester. Crap, I did not sleep well yesterday .. or actually I don't want to sleep, it was not because I couldn't finish my study, it is about kiasi and kiasu syndrome I have planted since I came to Singapore, I know I can't wake up by 8am, and go for exam at 9am. I forced myself not to fall asleep. I know I am stupid indeed.

I am typing now at 6.06am, before I am getting myself ready for the last paper. I want to have my lovely early breakfast at Canteen 13 first before heading to SRC for exam ... Gosh, last paper at Sport and Recreational centre of NTU. FML.
This exam hall is the one I hate the most.. so far I need to walk, and I don't want to take bus =(
After 11.30am later, declare myself officially done my last 2 semester, my 7th examination in NTU year 2011 =)

第十五章。Road to Naval Architecture

Things can be happened out of sudden. And there is a chance, the only one for you to grab, must not be missed. It happened to me, something I can't expect, and I never think of which engineering path and engineering field that I am really interested in.
Perhaps it may not be necessarily in engineering. Until now, only I find my own way to explore more what I really want to, before you give it a try, you'll always wonder what and why, yet until you explore further, things can change.

ASMI hit my doorstep out of sudden, in just one application form, it changes my whole life after all. Thanks to my buddy, Kah liang, for helping to print the application form because my home printer was down. Seriously, I never think of getting this down in my best way, I just attempted to give a try, although I know chances are extremely low. I don't even have a good printer at that moment, quickly urge me to forget about this stuff, and my friend just gave his hands to print out, and I just submit like that.

The first email I received, was telling me that, usually this opens to Singapore citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean foreigners cannot perform better, they can be the pioneer group of talent and expert in Singapore - that's why we call talent hub in Singapore. I always believe, everyone has equal chance and opportunity to succeed. Anyway, I replied to them, why not Malaysian? and their reply was [NO]

And after a week, things changed, [you're allowed] ... but I know chances are low. It is a marine industry, one of the pioneer marine industry in Singapore. It is not a surprise to me. The reply was just a waste of time, the dateline was over, they postponed the application dateline, a new dateline. So, just 2-page of application form, mom asked me to do it.

OKAY, so now I got my paper, print it out and submit, that's all. It was the month of August, and I shouldn't be in Singapore, haha when I first saw the interview session for shortlisted candidates, forget about it, I would not be able to drop by.
Yes, I was going for FAMINE 30. The interview call-up was just next to my door, I would definitely miss it, I should be in Kuala Lumpur for something big for me to do.
Famine 30 was a successful event.

Second chance again came to me, [we have a 2nd time interview]
So, what does it mean? I have another chance, I already gave up in that moment, still it belongs to me. Total of 11 interviewers with me in a huge conference room, after 15 mins, I walked out from room with 50% confidence. 3 representatives from Keppel, 3 from Sembcorp, 3 from ST Marine, plus two rep from ASMI. It was a wonderful interview session, with 11 interviewers.

I really know I want to be, yes it is Marine industry I want to get myself into it, right before the end of my internship with ExxonMobil, I already decided to take up specialization in naval architecture and marine engineering, although I know the [road] is not easily taken.

And yet, the reply comes [Congratulations]



it tells me one thing, one important message in all the way to my 23 .. 一直以来，如果你是跑后面的，不管怎样跑，还是在后面；但不要害怕，因为总有一天，你会是跑前面的第一个。

第十四章。Final Year Project 进行曲

Exam has yet to be done by early of December, where the month of vacation begins. Everyone is going back. Those study in year 1 to year 3, so called juniors, will definitely go back for one month before heading back for 2nd semester. 2nd semester commences on 9th January, yea a long way to go for them, so..holiday first. So called senior, for those who need to stay back for final year project (not all la), unluckily I still need to stay back for at least 3 weeks to complete part of my fyp schedule which I already made to be done before 2nd semester comes.

Although I DO not need to submit interim report, I guess it's good to prepare one, at least I can compile the whole complete one easily next year. ..yeah next year is coming soon, the dragon year .. 12+12 .. already 2 rounds since I was born, next year will be my 24th, and everybody is going to marry ASAP to get a dragon baby next year in 2012. Dragon babies =))Another 0.5 years to go, very soon, this day will come, complete my study life and start a new chapter of working, life, at least I got paid, working is just part of life, can't deny .. you have to work in this world, nothing is free. Just work as much as you can, earn as much as you do, since you're young, you might have better life after this, without $$, life is miserable. This is true, although it is not everything.

So now study hard, then work hard, and lastly enjoy hard hard for the rest of life.
2012 - I must graduate smoothly, get my degree cert. yea it is nothing special with this sheet, to me, it is. But you can't survive without it in Singapore haha. So must grab it no matter how. Enjoy for the rest of 0.5 years, and get ready to work.
I plan to work asap right after my last paper in NTU on 4th MAY 2012.

Again, it will be the last day of exam in NTU, last paper, last day, last semester and last year to me, NTU treats me good even when comes to the end point. Never mind, I can take it. After fyp presentation, I guess should be right after exam, probably in mid of MAY, hope so, and settle quickly before I can get ready. Plan ahead for everything, this is the thing I like to do, when I have nothing to plan.
Everyone is going for graduation trip, but the only trip I want is to stay at home, doing nothing at home, of course to church and accompany my family member as much as I can. I know it will not be so good to go back home after you have worked. Sad, no work life balance I guess.

If I can choose, still I want to work as far as possible, it makes my mind to explore more first when you're young, I like freedom, I know I have to choose this, and plan to stay in one place that I wish to go, don't mind to settle down, both temporarily or permanently. Until now, Taiwan is still a place I want to settle down, I don't know why although I haven't been there before. I don't like western style, too sinful, life there is good in those Europe countries or U.S., yet pointless life staying there haha. Taiwan will be in my waiting list, so called place to settle if possible, after my 35th, stay there for 7 years and see how.

There is still long way to go, it should be 10 years later, year 2023 I guess, die die must go travel even it is poor, I need to explore more, there are many things out there waiting for me. Learn hard and enjoy as much as I do. Welcome the last month of 2011, Hello year 2012. Please treat me good.

第十三章。第七次NTU考试。

考试的第一天。下午2.30pm至4.30pm的考试，简直就是要我的命，很想来个小睡，这个时候考试，真的很想睡leh，还好是两个小时。这张40%的考试，可以说是quiz而已，威力不大。

第七次在NTU考试，还是显得特别紧张，但不至于流汗流到。。这几天真的很热啦，考试还要我一直流汗。[闷]。第一张考试卷过了，就发来一个email。course registration在12月12日，气才刚开始喘，没多久，就要我们准备下学期的东西。[靠]



下个学期只有4张papers。还是很够力一下。

星期一，每个人都冲去考试，我却要这么早起床。



考试拖太久，不好。



快受不了，11天的时间，要我读那一门科目而已。我并不是觉得时间太多，而是隔太久才考试会让人不能提起劲来。说真的，还真的没有想到，考试时间会是这样安排。

下个学期也同样的。最可悲的是，最后学期，最后一张考卷，竟然是NTU最后一天的考试日期。

Road to Naval Architecture will never be easy. The first specialization module that I am taking this semester is MP4J01 Naval architecture and Marine engineering. It involves tedious calculation with limited source of lecture material. How am I going to be a so called "manageable" naval architect or marine engineer with such limited knowledge of handling marine engineering task.It's quite impossible, only thing I can do is to treat this as a course of appreciation to have a little explore about what is naval architecture and marine enigineering all about.

Preparing my cheat sheet (double page A4 sided paper), is allowed in exam hall. This sounds so ridiculous, it is not sufficient to have just a piece of paper like that, there are a lot of calculations and formula I need to memorize. Eh please la, I rather to choose OPEN book test so that I can find some methodology in order to calculate the naval architecture part. This is crazy, I cannot put all the formula or step of calculation in the so called cheat sheet. (I am cheating ? or not to cheat)

Anyway it was already my final decision to choose to go in this path. No matter easy or not easy, I am going and ready to take another 2 specialization modules: marine engineering system and control AND marine structural integrity, I know it's going to be damn difficult to score in these 2 subjects, I know it. Aya don't care, it is just a brief of what I suppose to do after I graduate. Marine industry, is the highest risk ever industry in Singapore after Oil and Gas industry, believe or not.

第十二章。又到了中三

十五岁那年。明从2A6升级到3A5这班。很遗憾的是，小天使不是和他同班，而是到了B班。还以为中三那一年能够和她同班，没想到明来到了一个很特别的班，就是三大种族的一班。3A5很是特别，它是A班里，唯一有马来和印度同学读的一班。吉华不算是华校吧，毕竟吉打这一个州属，是由马来人多的权力执政。吉华虽然华人多，但看下去马来同胞也不少，来到A班的马来朋友成绩都不错，还有一位马来学长懂得华语，[很厉害]。晓得华语的他，在他面前不可以乱说话。哈哈，明来到这班很特别，前面3个同学是马来女同学，他前面的，是一位长得很清秀的马来小妹妹。[小妹妹，原因是相处过后，明觉得她很单纯，傻傻的很可爱，很多马来男同学的沈佳宜]当然她和明也有常常一同做功课，一起温习，一点都不排除马来人不能和华人交朋友的那种思想。明坐的位置是靠窗。回想起中一那一年的他，也是这样，看着风景。

坐明后面的是三个女同学，都长得很漂亮，很多人都说是校花。[她们并不是马来同学]柯亦恒和明同班，就坐他的旁边，一直很要好的他们，常常讨论功课，亦恒可说是明的导师，很多时候都是亦恒在督促明做功课的。
话说后面三位女同学，都很勤劳，很用功，考试成绩又好，简直就是九把刀里的沈佳宜，很多男同学的女神。明倒觉得，有她们在，3A5的名声大大提高哈哈。[很感谢她们，班上惹来许多蜜蜂]。[2011：三位同学，其中一位叫Tan Cheng Lin的同学，在马来西亚就读牙医学，将来是一位女牙医，不错，是一位美丽的女牙医]能看懂的同学很少，怎么说，这一班说很活跃，也不算是。可能是后面坐着一大群马来男同学，马来人和华人一同上课，肯定会少了一些互动的。对，明也认识一位印度朋友，班上唯一一个印度学生，名叫Khatilgehsu[应该是这样没错]算是明的要好同学，当他常常被马来朋友欺负或作弄，他就会过来找明申冤，是发发牢骚。

考虑了很久，明决定退出吉圣[吉华圣约翰救伤队]。可能是太累了，明觉得纪律团体很不适合他，他比较懒惰啦，叫他老早爬起来去操步，确实要了他的命，圣约翰的确让他学习很多，他放弃至今，还是觉得很遗憾，遗失了重要的大家庭。可以说得是，明觉得他应该选择更加适合他的东西，在一定的基础上，学习更多关于团体精神，或者是，纪律方面的东西。中三那一年也是他最拚的一年，PMR的那一年，他很想把成绩[搞]好，以后升学可能会有帮助，况且他已决定走Science stream这路钱，商学非常不适合他。所以维持成绩很重要，成绩能够决定他的方向。偶尔他也会找一找吉圣的朋友们，虽然是退出了，他还是很想继续维持这段友情。中三那年，除了亦恒，明也结识了一位新朋友[goh hau che]吴同学的叔叔也是吉华的老师，教数学，是明的中二数学老师，hau che也是一位很用功的学生[2011：吴同学来到槟城工作，老早毕业的他，已经开始工作赚钱了]这一班其实默契也还不赖，有朋友生日都会去庆祝，或是class gathering等等。很可惜马来同学们都不怎么想加入。

中三PMR末，明收到了学校的信，算是推荐信？就是考虑明年录取当学长的应征。当学长其实对明来说，并不爽，主要是觉得当上学长很没有自由，也有可能会被同学排斥，场面很尴尬。比如说好朋友带liquid paper来上课，被你发现了，要没收还是不要？当学长的，肯定会被列为[那一群属于学长的圈子]那一种想法，要交更多的同学都很难。但考虑到，人嘛，一定要不停地尝试，反正没当过学长，试试看无妨呀。还好也有认识的朋友hau che一起去interview，这是明第一次这么formal的interview，还好是顺利。其实当学长，明的父母都很反对，他们知道当学长肯定不能够顾及学业和成绩。再说学长还得穿长袖白衣，和那该死的白裤，弄脏了就麻烦。当然明也有考虑到成绩这方面的问题，成绩不好的话，当学长只是会拖累而已。
PMR都会很早考完，SPM的考生才陆陆续续地准备迎战，很搞笑的是，考完了PMR后还要继续上课，天呀，就算是上课，那是上什么呢？中四的东西？靠

别管它，反正80年后的人，国小还是国中生来到年尾，就是要把时间浪费掉，考完试还要上课，简直就是乏味嘛。同学都陆陆续续地把家里的玩意儿，带来学校，当然只有学校指定的象棋呀，还是动物棋，uno卡等等，还有更有趣80年后玩意儿，塑胶擦！PMR后过的是很颓废的日子，反正老师都不是很想教书，教书的都在好班，3a1, 3a2, 3a3, 3a4, 怎么可能会到明的这一班呢。就算是要回来学校上课，同学们都已经给自己[放假]。男的嘛，到处lepak下，跑过去其他班晃晃，或是静静地呆在班里玩棋的有，玩塑胶擦的有，超[幼稚]的东西全部都搬上来，哈哈[请问青少年的时候，有谁不是幼稚的？]女的嘛，两个一组，还是三人一组来回几轮到廁所，搞不懂她们要到廁所照镜子照多久。还是呢，就是徘徊四处，看看帅哥之内的，很无聊。好班的嘛一直在备战，SPM都还没到，kiasu的敢敢跑去读中四和中五的参考书。很少到吉华图书馆的明，不知何故来到图书馆看看，人流还真多，很无趣的是，这里图书馆的书非常缺，不懂是地方小-缺，还是学校不够钱啦。三德的图书馆就好，偶尔可以到那里找很多漫画，而且是最新的。参考书也有很多。比起来，三德的图书馆远远超越了吉华。但严格来说，以读书水平来看，吉华的水平却好过三德。可能人多啦，在三德，明可以挤进第三班，在吉华去丢到去第六班。[闷]

男女学校可能竞争更大，明本身来自男校，也来到了男女校，很明显可以感受那一种不一样的读书环境。如果说男女学校，搞暧昧的当然没有少，但就是这理由，感觉男的很拚，仿佛给他们的沈佳宜一个很肯定地认同。再说男的光头，女的短发，外表来看，男女搞暧昧并不是源于外表的美，还是帅。[要有发型~没啦]主要的是相处的时间久了，知道对方的好还是不好，多方面的了解[很多同学们毕了业，就一起念中六，还是到大学]很多时候，年轻人都以外表为首要条件，还是一见钟情之内的东西，相处过后才知道对方到底是怎样的一个人。就像明的老爸老妈都是一见钟情才恋上对方。纯纯的爱就这样来了。老妈还是对明说，爱上老爸的一见钟情并不是完全是因为他的外表，而是感觉，直觉，还有那一刻的心情[可以说心情不好，看什么都不爽]，还有就是老爸的肢体动作，和表达自己的诚恳与自信。

来到B班的她，明还是会很害羞地经过她的班，看看她。还记得中二一起上课，一起上amali sains，在实验室同桌的那一年，那一些日子。很不可思议，她竟然把身分证拿给明看，哈哈因为当时不知何故，明不相信她是班上[年纪]最小！12月31日-明永远记得这一天，她生日的明天，就是全新的一年。还记得，明生日，她都会亲手做生日卡给明。中三那年，还有接下来中四的那一年[中二明是七月转校，生日刚好过了]当然是怀念，那两年就算是很简单的生日卡，明觉得很开心，因为是[沈佳宜]亲手做的。他紧紧保留着她的心意。


中三那年，PMR七粒A，成功攀上中四，来到了第四班。接下来的考验更多。那一年也是明离开吉华的一年。不晓得接下来会有什么安排的他，明的老爸工作其实都不是很顺利，知道他压力大，可能会再一次[搬家]

NTU-EdveNTUre tool 学生的[course material]




考试来临，Edventure会是常来到的网页，考试前都不会来的地方。[临时抱佛脚]终是到最后才感觉害怕。在里面翻来翻去看看有什么东西是教授upload的，自己没有去看，还是去检查。哈哈，里面还真的是有一些功课的solution。叹~为什么就是考试要来了，才知道Edventure的重要性。久久都不会来的一次，结果到最后成了无数次的拜访。

第十一章。那些年。圣约翰

中二下学期。七月十三号。那一天是明来到吉华的第一天。故事还是继续。
2A6，那些年最怀念的一班，来到的时候，班级照早已经拍好，那一年，明是没有属于自己的中二班级照的。很遗憾就连离开三德的那一年，已来不及和班上所有的朋友和老师来一个全体照，匆匆忙忙地离开。[柯亦恒]明在吉华其中最要好的朋友，递了一张那一年，属于2A6的班级照。[明到今天依然好好地保留它，虽然里面并没有他]。[谢了，亦恒，这张照片拍得很好，45度打斜拍，还不赖嘛]亦恒：[哈哈，看我们男生的头，不好看，拍不拍都无所谓]明打从心里面，多希望自己也在里面，就算是光头。[给年轻人的话：或许现在不懂，也不管，想起那些年同班的同学，你会开始怀念。珍惜眼前的东西，跟朋友美丽的时光，要好好拍下来]明从不晓得来到吉打后会是怎样，光头仔肯定跑不了，在这间学校会待多久也不晓得，然而能够转校的他，转校生活并不是每个孩子都有的，即使再不好，也至少能够认识更多的朋友，留下很不一样的回忆。

[2009年，得知柯亦恒到了澳洲留学，一直都经过面子书保持联络。面子书是21世纪最重要的工具，但它能维持多久呢？]来到新学校，明慢慢地引起很多学生的注意。也有女生想要和他交朋友。一直以来读男校的他，当然会有点不知所措，叫他写信也还是第一次。那些年没有所谓的面子书，用信来交朋友是最好不过。[庄同学，Cheryl Chong]是第一位跟明以来信的方式交朋友。Cheryl她是一个活泼女生，明得知她主动写信给他，让他很不好意思，但他一直都很谢谢她，主动地跟明做朋友。[那一天，抽屉里有一张很可爱的信]罗汉胜：[是一位女生，她想和你做朋友]明很好奇地回了汉胜，汉胜是他第一位来到吉华，接触的第一位朋友。[2011：刚从欧洲游玩回来的汉胜，回到了吉隆坡工作岗位，光头的他不晓得为什么他会很喜欢这“发型”，但感觉很适合他]明回[是我们这班的女生嘛？她太客气了吧，要做朋友我随时欢迎]明不曾写信交朋友，他还是比较喜欢，面对面地方式，就如当年在三德一样，跟一群男生们，[不打不相识]汉胜：[人家是女孩子嘛，会比较害羞，快一点拆开你的信啦]明不由自主地把信拆开，是女同学的自我介绍大纲，字体很好看，很细心，还有不同颜色的字，可爱的图案，还有很搞笑的“话”][2010年：庄同学在怡保就读师训课程，当小学老师，明一直以来都很想当老师，得知庄同学能成为老师，非常开心]那些年，明第一位通过写信方式交了一位女同学。

明决定回信，知道她家的地址，直接把信送到她家。[明都还保存着那些年的信，它们都很珍贵，那一片回忆]来信好几回，女孩都很喜欢用这样浪漫的方式回信，写信对明来说，却是难到他，他还是觉得面对面交朋友比较诚恳，所以还是找了一天，见了她。庄同学是military band的会员，她很棒，会许多乐器，皮肤黝黑的她，感觉是充满热血，非常活泼的女孩，她很能干，代表学校参加比赛，又懂得玩吉他，觉得是多才多艺的女孩。相对来说，明却什么都不懂，成绩又不好，都不懂有什么能拿出来相提并论。只好以一般普通朋友来往，明感到很自卑，在这女孩面前，就是个井底之蛙。来到了下学期，老师告知明必须参加课外活动，[惨啦，在三德加入了太极组后，感觉课外活动这东西根本不是明要的东西，根本是浪费时间]班上的同学有好几位是来自圣约翰救伤队，不知何故，明倒很想加入这团队，first aid感觉很有用。就这样在吉华的第一年，来到了圣约翰。[在三德并没有圣约翰，只有红心会persatuan bulan sabit merah，明有好几位结识的朋友都是这学会的member]圣约翰究竟是什么，明确实不懂，只知道第一次的课外活动，就在周六早上8点集合的时候，member都排队排到美美的，两手放在后面，双脚轻微张开，macam很relax酱。seniors们感觉凶巴巴的，member都很紧张，所谓的纪律团体嘛，就是这样咯。

来到圣约翰，学习的东西还真多的，拿了一本厚厚的first aid书，还要做功课leh，对不同意外，有着不同的应对方法，CPR等等，什么都要学，最困难的就是明一直都学不好的包扎。包来包去，还是一样，没什么进步。除了这些，还要学什么short case和long case应对方案，electrical shock, road accident, fire case等等。中二那一年真的很难熬，太阳这么大，还要在太阳底下训练，每个周末。年尾有个学校的intersquad 比赛，每个st john member都会分派到一组4人的队伍，第一：leader负责指挥，第二：负责病人上半身的拯救步骤，第三：下半身到脚部位的包扎工作，第四：负责维持次序，帮助另外三位的member。就这样四位一组first aid team就这样来的。



2011: 在准备考试的当儿，其实早已知道，NTU的Edventure site有不同语文选择，可能是好奇，看看日文版的会是怎样。[Edventure ~ Learning anytime anywhere]



还蛮okay的。NTU太棒了！！

圣约翰让明结识了一群朋友，了解团体精神。最主要的还是学习课外的东西，[学问]。毕竟first aid也是一门学问，就算日常生活的小学问，学会了急救的基本功，万一有紧急事故，很可能可以派上用场。来到了年底，圣约翰办了一个生活营，同时间也是interskuad 比赛的结尾，[算是庆功宴吧？]很不可思议的就是，明竟然还得獎。从小到大都没什么獎可以拿得他，论成绩，他还得等很久，论运动，瘦小到连风也可以把他吹起来的他，叫他打乒乓就还ok啦。说到奖状，除了幼儿园时候赢回来的[吃饼干]比赛之外，哈哈还真的是没有leh。小学更加不用说，一直相信[小时了了，大未必佳]的他，小时候得的奖状，他并不在乎，最重要上周会领奖的同学千万不要kacau他就读喜爱的榴莲公主漫画，还是大红花，星星报之类的东西。上到中学，得奖的竟然是课外活动。算是一种鼓励，一定的成就感，但明还是并不在乎，得奖这毛东西。他知道[就算一直以来我都是跑最后的，但终有一天我会是跑第一的那一个]这种精神一直都不会消失。只要努力，最终得到的不只是奖状，而是人生的一种[喜悦]

为了这个营，每个人都会分到不同的组别。各组都会有leader和assistant，而每个人也有不同的工作，要买材料，布置，设计组的旗子，还要扎营，挖小水道，晚上还要轮流看守。更痛苦的是，明还要上台表演，[周杰伦的什么野兽的歌，很恶心]没办法，明为了配合大家的主题，敢敢地，第一次的，也是最后一次的，上台演出，那一年，他才14。圣约翰的确让他学习许多，成长与知识，朋友和团体纪律，很不一样的学习环境。回想起来，这东西他永远不会在三德找到。[那些年，我们班没有女孩]对他并不管用，他还是来到了男女学校，走上不一样的环境，成长的回忆，陪伴着他。谢谢你圣约翰。

第十章。蛙式。自由式。蝴蝶式

终于该做完的，还是完了。非常感谢一班一起为design report付出的kaki。iWater Current turbine真的是很花时间，陆陆续续的一个sem，一个接一个的design lab。我想这是我最后一次在NTU有这么样的group project，接下来的project，应该就是该死的个人solo的 FYP！！

WATER CURRENT TURBINE 的设计








Advantages:
1. Converging house frame speeds up water current in flow, this improves overall efficiency.
2. Flywheel has low power charge and discharge time, good to cope with fluctuating power generation.
3. Flywheel located externally permits maintenance work to be done easily.
4. Cross-flow turbine gives rather constant efficiency rate.
5. Cable-counter weight support structure provides great stability.
6. Power transmission system: includes clutch for engage or disengage generator.
Disadvantages:
1. Marine life can be easily trapped inside housing.
2. Flywheel located externally produces drag to the system and consumes space.
3. Cross-flow turbine has lower peak efficiency as compared to axial-flow turbine.
4. Power transmission system: more bulky in size.
5. Cable-structure connection susceptible to sea water corrosion.

蛙式。自由式。蝴蝶式,你懂哪一式呢？你认为哪一个游泳方式是你的强项？
游泳半桶水的我，一直以来都使用非常不正确的方式游泳。小时候，老爸还是有过几招啦，但对我很不实用，因为我协调性很烂。没有经过专业游泳老师教导，游泳还是自己一步一步学习的。

大学四年，我都不停地练习。直到第四年，压力很大，几乎每天都去游泳。没事干，就想着去游泳[其中原因是NIE 游泳池很靠近我的宿舍，走路就到咯]NIE游泳池的open时间是早上8.30am到7.00pm。还好我没有任何科目是在傍晚的时候，到了5.30pm放学就丢下lecture note跳到pool里去。第一，我还是觉得游泳是最好的运动，手脚都很忙，也不必流汗就可以烧掉很多calories。再说可以训练肌肉，呼吸节奏也可以改善。读书若觉得压力，FYP快受不了，游泳池就在我附近。还好有kaki一起游泳，不会很显。wern chiet跟我住同一个宿舍，很靠近，得空嘛一起去游个够。管他什么花式，过瘾就好，反正就是练一下肌肉而已。

游泳会是我头号运动！

第九章。考试来咯。Exam Goodies

照片看到的就是NTU的exam goodies，分别来自不同的[管道]。iGave graduation是给最后一年即将毕业的学生，是由NTU Development office所包办，iGave就是象征着即将毕业的学生，有想过留下什么给学校吗？[钱？？]我读书有交学费的leh，只不过是一种概念，iGAVE，你给了吗？接下来是我校school of mechanical and aerospace engineering的exam goodies，当然就是我，和mech engin的学生可以拿咯。还有就是我宿舍的，hall of residence 12 的goodies，和halloween一起庆祝，hall 12今年的committee还不错，连hall的t-shirt也便宜到只有SGD2.00而已咯。

好吧，让我来一个一个介绍一下，iGave 包括我觉得蛮实用的testpad，考试嘛就是需要这个 [考试浪费纸张的时候]还有一件很喜欢的iGave衣服，我没检查好，iGave Ambassador竟然给了我XS Side的衣服，叫我怎样？算啦好过没有，小件嘛小件可以当睡衣，哈哈。看到的还有很多很多我很讨厌的magazine，无厘头地出现在我面前那一堆杂志，都是没有用的东西 [本人不爱看杂志]，还有最出名的[屎水]，就是New Water by PUB，真的很多，但我都不喝[我很怕]。接下来的就是redbull，还好我没常常喝，所以打算给朋友去。MAE我校的goodies也一样，很多magazines,还有new water。。[晕]iGave给的gifts，我都很喜欢，有笔，keychain，memo pad，巧克力，等等。

三个星期前的考试，exam seat number出炉了，这个sem只有4张papers，已经很够力了！考试日期分别为

考试座位的号码都是3个digit，macam很容易背起来一下。这是第7次在NTU考试！我要好好享受这个过程，因为我知道往后的日子我会很怀念，怀念校园的日子。怀念步行去上课的日子，怀念和一群朋友lunch，怀念一起做project，怀念一起做presentation[effective com, technical com, professional com]都来自不同地方的朋友，不同国籍的也有[Engineers and Society 的三次presentation 都和一位来自Mexico的留学生一起努力，最后拿了个A-]还有很多很多很怀念的东西，我爱喝的teh bing[Canteen A 五角钱的teh]。。怀念班上的朋友，我一直都注意的女生，哈哈[我上课很不专心，那女生从大一到现在，都没变过，红色书包，一副大大黑色眼镜，长头发，也不爱化妆，表现出最好看的一面，每次上课都和2位姐妹一起坐]。。怀念教授们的指导，有好的也有坏的，坏的让我们更加努力靠自己去努力，让我们知道，大学不是spoon feed，让我们知道现实就是这样，engineer出来工作，什么都得靠自己。好的让我们感受教授给与我们的帮助，最无助的时候，让我们知道考试什么东西会考，什么东西不会出来。[Prof Chua说，Things that you cannot finish study, it will not come out in the exam, so don't worry]这种知道后，没什么营养的info，听了还是很爽，至少压力中带了少许的温暖。让我们安然度过每个考试。

只希望能维持我的CGPA，反正1st class和2nd upper都一样，我的公司对这两个grade还是一视同仁，薪水都是一样的，拼这么辛苦干嘛呢？很多学生认为，读书就是要有漂亮的成绩单，但人生的成绩单呢？那一张CGPA很好的cert，工作两年后，有用吗？[我敢说,>80%都没用，工作就是看你的累积经验，尤其是在新加坡打拼，这是很基本的东西]那张cert拿了还是擦擦屁股就好了。搞不好你的cert很好，就被拉去做PhD。。。很可怜的。继续升学管道有很多种，毕业过后还是出来工作了解一些外面的市场，找看自己的方向是对的吗？喜欢就是喜欢！它会注定你的一切，找到了再继续升学就好啦[当我看到学校send一大堆PhD Scholarship 的email时，我迅速地delete掉，真的很烦，因为我很确定我的方向，继续往前走，拜托！请不要send那些email了，send给好学生就好了啦]
